There was a significant moment a few years after reality television had swept the televised nation when one of the former contestants of “Survivor” somehow managed to land a supporting role in a poorly written Rob Schneider comedy. This set the standard for reality television stars, giving them hope of being able to make a parasitic career out of their fifteen minutes of fame in reality television. Since then, reality “stars” don’t always disappear after their reality show debut has finished. Like cockroaches that just won’t die, they often scavenge the entertainment industry for any other opportunity to extend undeserved fame.

Kendra Wilkinson was a Playboy model and gold-digging girlfriend of Hugh Hefner in order to achieve her first bit of fame, so it should come as no surprise that she would be willing to do just about anything to remain in the spotlight, even if she has to keep her clothes on. Now married to former NFL player Hank Baskett III, Kendra must work extra hard to convince herself of her own fame. This is mostly done with delusional self-importance despite absolutely no career accomplishments worth bragging about. She has leeched onto as many reality programs as possible, from this staged filming of her “real” life to a number of competition shows. After “Dancing with the Stars” (the biggest lie of the show is the title considering how many of the “Stars” are merely reality rejects), Kendra moves on to “Splash” during the filming of season two of “Kendra on Top,” allowing us to see firsthand the retarded logic brought on by desperation for fame.

It seems more than a little idiotic that someone with an extreme fear of heights would sign up to compete in a high dive competition for television, and that pretty much sums up the entire personality of the former model. Even more hilarious is watching her put up shields of ignorance when criticized for her lack of any discernible skill or accomplishments. Kendra is one of those people that have gotten by on her looks for most of her life, refusing to accept any criticism when it contradicts the pointless praise given to her by countless men desiring to sleep with her. Even when Kendra is clearly wrong about something, she remains stubbornly convinced of her own infallibility. This is addicting to watch only because of the clear hypocrisy and idiocy that Kendra constantly displays.

The complete second season is included on two discs, along with a handful of unnecessary special features. There is a “Season Tease,” deleted scenes and a web series continuing the desperate grab for undeserved fame.
